Real photo postcard of the grade school in Prescott, Kansas. This postcard is dated April 18, 1908, and was postmarked at Prescott. My mother, her sister, and both brothers attended grade school in this building in the late 1920s and early 1930s. The building is still standing today and serves as Prescott's public library.

The old Pekin Theatre on South Capitol Street in downtown Pekin, Illinois. This postcard was published by Curteich Co. of Chicago, IL. It is postmarked at Pekin and dated July 1, 1941. The Pekin Theatre was built in 1928. The interior decor was Oriental, including ancient Chinese pagodas and Chinese goddess figures. Similar to other theaters of the late 1920s, the ceiling stars delivered the atmosphere to compliment the decor. The Pekin Theatre closed in 1980 and was demolished in 1987 to make way for the new police station.
Curteich chrome postcard of Robertson Memorial Fieldhouse on the Bradley University campus in Peoria, Illinois. Card is postmarked at Peoria and dated July 31, 1964. This postcard was published by Curteich Co. of Chicago, IL., and distributed locally by Hartman Bros. of Peoria. Robertson Fieldhouse was built inside two World War II airplane hangars in 1949 and was the home to Bradley's mens' basketball team, the Bradley Braves, until 1982. The Fieldhouse was demolished in 2008 to make way for a new student recreation and health center.

This postcard was produced by Colourpicture Publishers of Boston, MA., and was published by Springer Burkland in Peoria.

Photoette undivided back postcard of the Illinois Traction Depot in Mackinaw, Illinois. Postcard is postmarked at Deer Creek, IL., and dated October 6, 1909. This postcard was published by C.U. Williams of Bloomington, IL. Construction on the depot began in 1909 and was completed in 1910. The depot was last used by the railroad in 1953 and sat vacant for many years. The building was renovated in 1998 and now serves as a tea room and gift shop.
Real photo postcard of The Morton Pottery Co. which was located on West Jefferson Street in Morton, Illinois. Photo was taken in the 1940s. Morton Pottery was in this location from December 1922 until it shut down in September 1976. The building was demolished in 1977 to make way for the new Morton Public Library building. This postcard was published by The L.L. Cook Co. of Milwaukee, WI.

The Amish Church stood on the present location of the Apostolic Christian Church on Jefferson Street in Morton. The Amish Church was destroyed by an arson fire on December 12, 1912.
